Debt Into Wealth

Budgets

Budgets are a valuable tool for saving money. Do you know that the most effective budgeting tool is an envelope? I have not found a budgeting system that does not revolve around this simple concept. Many experts sell budgeting books and courses for a lot of money, yet they all revolve around this simple concept.

Whether you are still living physical world of cash or the digital age of bill-pay, wire transfers, or ACH, the envelope system will work for you.

If you are ready to start saving money with a budget, we will cover the following in this series of articles:

1.  How to get started

2.  Setting your budget up

3.  Paying off debt

4.  Building a reserve

5.  Preparing for the future

Getting Started on Your Budget

The first step is determining where you are, and everyone in the family needs to be involved in this process and in agreement that this is a step that you all need to take.

Ready? If you live & plan week to week, month to month, or quarter to quarter - during that time frame, write down everything that you spend money on. It is important that you log all cash, check, credit card, or any other financial transaction that you make during this time period.

If you have any questions, email me. You will find my details on the contact page.

I will be back later to continue this course.
